Bishop Timon-St. Jude High School is going to party like it’s 1998! The South Buffalo institution is excited to announce the hiring of Bill Goc ‘98 as the new varsity baseball head coach, and Kevin Overdorf ‘98 as the new varsity lacrosse head coach.

Coach Goc brings a wealth of experience, having coached junior varsity baseball at Timon this season and served as an assistant coach from 2015-2019 for the Tigers. He’s also the director of Baseball Operations and head coach for the New York Stingers organization, and a member of the Timon Athletic Hall of Fame committee.

Coach Overdorf returns with an impressive background, having coached Timon lacrosse as an assistant and JV head coach from 2001-2016. During his tenure, he contributed to eight Monsignor Martin championships and two state titles. He also serves as the operations director for Performax Lacrosse.
Their wealth of experience and expertise is expected to bring a new level of excellence to the school’s athletics.
While the Timon crew welcomes their new coaches, they also wish good luck to Chris Rusin who is retiring after nearly three decades of teaching at Timon.

A STEM teacher focusing on math, pre-engineering, and the Drone Curriculum, Rusin’s impact extends beyond the classroom. Known for his quick wit and charismatic presence, he never failed to bring joy and laughter to those around him. From igniting the stage during talent shows to starting the Audio Visual-Radio Club, his creative spirit has enriched the lives of many. His dedication and passion for education have left an indelible mark on the school community.
