Lauren Bush has been named assistant director of advancement having served the Girl Scouts of Western New York for nearly a decade as director of product program.

“I look forward to working with Alycia,” she said.

Ivancie worked at Junior Achievement for 24 years, most recently as the program director, overseeing JA programs across the Western New York footprint and working to develop corporate and community partnerships to support its programs.

She and her husband, Brian, have two daughters, Mackenzie who will attend SUNY Albany in the fall and Brenna who will be in 11th grade.

“During my time at JA, working with Cardinal O’Hara was one of our strongest partnerships,” Ivancie said. “(Economics teacher) Gary Gross had JA programs in his classroom each year, running the JA Company program (JA student-run business), for many years. Each year, I would come into his spring semester class to train his seniors as JA volunteers so they could go out and teach JA in the elementary schools in the area. It was always one of my favorite projects each year!”

“I look forward to getting to know everyone at O’Hara and getting out in the community to create partnerships and spread the word that there are great things happening at O’Hara,” Ivancie said. “Working with Lauren (Bush) will make my job easier.”

Bush and her husband, Adam, and their children, Grace and Maxwell, live in Lancaster.

She has a degree in elementary education and a master’s in curriculum and instruction from Buffalo State College.

In her previous role with the Girl Scouts, Bush’s work revolved around the overseeing, planning and execution of the fall cookie program, serving all nine counties in the WNY jurisdiction. Her role included assistant director of Girl Experience, where she focused on after school programming in urban schools and community organizations.

“I am excited to be a part of the Cardinal O’Hara community; continuing the great work of the Advancement team, building relationships with future and current alumni to support and move Cardinal O’Hara forward for the many years to come,” Bush said.
