June 8 was a special day at OLV National Shrine & Basilica as the community celebrated the dedication of the new Father Baker Shrine and Smith & Gilbert Chancel Organ.

The shrine is a masterwork designed and hand-crafted by parishioners Jon Trabucco and his father, Vince. The piece is decorated with religious symbols and imagery, paying tribute to Venerable Nelson H. Baker, founder of OLV Institutions, and his patroness, Our Lady of Victory. The organ has been a welcome and much needed addition ever since the main organ failed during a Mass in 2023. Both additions were made possible through the generosity of donors.

In addition to the dedication Mass, an organ concert delighted those in attendance, showcasing the talents of Music Director Peter Gonciarz and the members of the OLV choir.
