St. Bernadette Parish will offer Inclusive Easter Mass on April 26

Share

On Saturday, April 26, families with special needs are invited to an Inclusive Easter Mass at 2 p.m. at St. Bernadette Parish, 5930 South Abbott Road in Orchard Park.

Father Joseph Wolf, senior parochial vicar, will celebrate the Mass. Father Gerard Skrzynski, moderator for the Buffalo Catholic Deaf Society, will interpret the Mass through American Sign Language. The church is wheelchair accessible. The Mass will be livestreamed on St. Bernadette’s Facebook page.

This Mass will be shorter than a typical Easter service, and will accommodate people with special needs through softer music, a sensory room, and space to pace. Low gluten hosts available.

This event is sponsored by Open Doors Ministry which advocates for the inclusion of people with disabilities into the life of the parish. Questions may be directed to Sharon Urbaniak at 716-648-1720, ext. 3, sharonu@saintbopny.org or Paula Potteiger at 716-649-1051, cozmo3631@gmail.com.
