Two parishes change families, new clergy assignments announced

Bishop Michael W. Fisher has made the following appointments:

Father Scott Brookbank, OFM has been granted faculties in the Diocese of Buffalo. He has been assigned as clinical care coordinator in the campus counseling center at St. Bonaventure University, effective Jan. 13.  

Father William J. Quinlivan has been appointed the additional responsibility as pastor of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, Buffalo, effective Dec. 1, 2024. Our Lady of Perpetual Help is now part of Family #31.

Msgr. David G. LiPuma has been appointed the additional responsibility as pastor of Our Lady of Bistrica Parish, Lackawanna, effective Jan. 27.

Father James W. Hartwell has been appointed the additional responsibility as pastor of Our Lady of the Angels Parish, Cuba, effective Feb. 12. (Our Lady of the Angels is now part of Family #1.)

Father John J. Cullen has been appointed the additional responsibility as pastor of St. Mary, Canaseraga, effective Feb. 12. (St. Mary’s is now part of Family #2.)

Father Tuan Pham, OMI has been appointed the additional responsibility as chaplain to the Vietnamese Catholic Community housed at Our Lady Help of Christians Parish, Cheektowaga, effective Feb. 13.

Father Robert I. Agbo has been appointed full-time chaplain at Kenmore Mercy Hospital, effective Feb. 28.  

Father Joseph D. Porpiglia has been appointed pastor of Family #27 (Immaculate Conception Parish, Eden; St. Joseph Parish, Gowanda; Epiphany of Our Lord Parish, Langford), effective Feb. 28. He will reside at Immaculate Conception Parish, Eden.

Father Jozef Dudzik has been appointed senior parochial vicar of Family #25 (Holy Name of Mary Parish, Ellicottville and Our Lady of Peace Parish, Salamanca) and Family #33 (St. Aloysius, Springville; St. John the Baptist, West Valley; & St. Mary, Arcade), effective March 1. 

Father Luke P. Uebler has been appointed the additional responsibility as pastor of Immaculate Conception Parish, Ransomville, effective March 3. (Immaculate Conception, Ransomville is now part of Family #34.)

Father James W. Kirkpatrick has been appointed senior parochial vicar of Family #31 (St. Martin of Tours Parish, St. Teresa Parish, Our Lady of Charity Parish and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, all in Buffalo, effective March 15.
