‘Leading with Joy’ event to take place March 14-15

The Church Musicians’ Guild of Buffalo has partnered with the diocesan Office of Renewal to co-sponsor “Leading with Joy in Times of Turbulence.” The two-day event of prayer and discussion will take place March 14-15 at Blessed Trinity Church and Villa Maria College, both in Buffalo.

The main presenter will be Father Edward Foley, OFM Cap., a member of the Province of St. Joseph of the Capuchin Order, a Duns Scotus professor emeritus of Spirituality and retired professor of Liturgy and Music at Catholic Theological Union. An award winning author and celebrated preacher, he has been honored with lifetime achievement awards from national and international organizations, and serves his Capuchin community as the vice postulator for the canonization cause for Blessed Solanus Casey.
Schedule includes:
Friday, March 14: Blessed Trinity Church, 317 LeRoy Ave., Buffalo
5 p.m. Mass
6 p.m. Wine & cheese, followed by dinner
7:15 p.m. Dessert talk with Father Foley
Saturday, March 15: Villa Maria College Recital Hall, 240 Pine Ridge Road, Buffalo
8:30 a.m. Continental breakfast
9 a.m. Session I – Father Foley
10:30 a.m. Small group discussion
11:15 a.m. Session II – Father Foley
12 noon Lunch
1 p.m. Prayer, praise and final thoughts

All are welcome to this free event, but registration is required as space is limited. Register by Feb. 28.
