Share

Bishop Michael W. Fisher invites all to take part in an inaugural Mass to begin Jubilee 2025, a time for prayer, pilgrimage, celebration and faith, taking place Sunday, Dec. 29, at 7 p.m. at St. Joseph Cathedral in downtown Buffalo. Pilgrims are asked to gather at Cathedral Park to begin a procession into the cathedral.

Catholics are encouraged to take part in local pilgrimages this year, visiting and praying at St. Joseph Cathedral, Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Lakewood, the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels in Olean, St. Cecilia Worship Site of St. John Neumann Parish in Sheldon, and the Basilica of the National Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima in Youngstown.

“By visiting these sites, we can learn how, in our diversity, we can build hope as a family of faith,” Bishop Fisher said.

Bishop Fisher has also called for 2025 to be a Year of Healing.

“Throughout the year, we will pray and seek God’s grace to heal us from the wounds affecting our Church.”
