AUDIO: Hear the story of St. Clare of Assisi in the latest ‘Sister Justine’ episode

She lived centuries before the introduction of television and video. So how can St. Clare of Assisi be the patron saint of TV?
The students of Holy Family School learn how while preparing for their first school video podcast in the latest episode of “Sister Justine’s Saint Tales,” the audio play series created and produced by the Diocese of Buffalo. In this latest episode, the fourth of 10 scheduled for the program’s third season, students from St. Stephen School in Grand Island voice the roles of the fictional Holy Family students. Marian Hetherly, a former local radio broadcaster, provides the voice of St. Clare.
“Sister Justine’s Saint Tales” was developed in 2023 as a means for the diocese to provide creative, original content that educates as well as entertains.
The next episode, featuring St. Martin de Porres, is scheduled for release Friday, Dec. 20. Following a Christmas break, the series will resume with five more episode releases in January 2025.
