New Mercy Hospital chaplain, parochial vicars announced

Father Patryk Sobczyk

Bishop Michael W. Fisher has made the following appointments.

Father Patryk G. Sobczyk has been appointed full-time chaplain at Mercy Hospital of Buffalo, effective Oct. 1. He will reside at Holy Family Church rectory in Buffalo.

Father Samuel Giangreco

He had been serving as parochial vicar of Family #28.

Father Samuel T. Giangreco has been appointed parochial vicar of Family #7 (Fourteen Holy Helpers, West Seneca; Queen of Heaven, West Seneca; St. John XXIII, West Seneca; St. Gabriel, Elma; and St. John Vianney, Orchard Park), effective Oct. 15. He will reside at Fourteen Holy Helpers Parish, West Seneca.

Father Giangreco had been serving as chaplain at Mercy Hospital.

Father Jozef Dudzik

Father Jozef Dudzik has been appointed senior parochial vicar serving both Family #12 and Family #13 (St. Brigid, Bergen; Resurrection, Batavia; Ascension, Batavia; Our Lady of Mercy, LeRoy; St. Padre Pio, Oakfield; St. John the Baptist, Alden; St. Maximilian Kolbe, Corfu; SS. Joachim & Anne, Attica; St. John Neumann, Strykersville; and Immaculate Heart of Mary, Darien Center), effective Oct. 15. He will reside at St. Mary Church rectory  in Pavilion.

He had been pastor of Family #8 in Cheektowaga.
