Sacred Heart Shrine to host Eucharistic Retreat Day

BOWMANSVILLE — In recognition of the National Eucharistic Congress, Sacred Heart of Jesus Diocesan Shrine will hold a Eucharistic Retreat Day on July 20. The day will include several talks, Mass, lunch and adoration.

Deacon Greg Feary will lead a daylong experiential reflection on living life in the pattern of the Eucharist. A retired teacher and adjunct professor at Canisius College, Deacon Feary currently serves the Roman Catholic Community of Cheektowaga-Kaisertown-Sloan.

All are welcome to celebrate and deepen their understanding and love of the Blessed Sacrament.

Schedule for the day

8:30 a.m. – Registration and refreshments

9 a.m. – Introduction and opening prayer 

9:30 a.m. – We are Beloved

10:15 a.m. – We are Blessed

11 a.m. – Mass “We are what we eat”

11:45 a.m. – Lunch (provided)

12:30 p.m. – We are Broken

1:15 p.m. – We are Called to Share

2 p.m. – Wrap-up

2:30 p.m. – Adoration and benediction

A $20 fee is being charged to cover a bagged lunch and an RSVP is kindly requested by July 15 at 716-683-2375.
