North Buffalo receives new administrator

Bishop Michael W. Fisher has announced the following clergy assignments:
Father Joseph W. Tokasz has been appointed parish administrator of Family of Parishes #20 (Assumption, Holy Spirit, St. Margaret, St. Mark, St. Rose of Lima and All Saints, all in Buffalo), effective Feb, 5. He will reside at St. Margaret Parish, Buffalo.

Father Tokasz has previously served as parochial vicar of St. Gregory the Great Parish in Williamsville and Family #16 in the Amherst/Cheektowaga/Williamsville area.
Father David I. Richards, who has been serving as pastor of Family #20, has been appointed parochial vicar of that Family of Parishes, effective Feb. 5. He will continue to reside at St. Margaret Parish, Buffalo.

Father Moses O. Ikuelogbon has been appointed parochial vicar of Family of Parishes #16 (St. Leo the Great, Amherst; St. Benedict, Eggertsville; Christ the King, Snyder; St. Aloysius Gonzaga, Cheektowaga; Infant of Prague Parish; and SS. Peter & Paul, Williamsville), effective Feb. 15. He has previously served as parochial vicar of Family of Parishes #25. He will reside at Infant of Prague Parish, Cheektowaga.
Father Charles E. Johnson has been appointed parochial vicar of Family Parishes #25 (Holy Name of Mary, Ellicottville; St. Philomena, Franklinville; and Our Lady of Peace, Salamanca), effective Feb. 15. He will reside at St. Philomena Parish, Franklinville.
Rev. Nicholas Rokitka, OFM Conv., has been granted faculties in the Diocese of Buffalo. He will assist with sacramental duties at St. Francis High School in Athol Springs and reside at St. Francis Friary. This was effective Dec. 27, 2023.
Father Bernard M. Tracey, CM, has been also been granted faculties in the Diocese of Buffalo. He has been assigned as superior of the Vincentian Residence at Niagara University. This became effective Jan. 21.
