Study day to be held at Christ the King Seminary

People from all over the diocese will converge on Christ the King Seminary for the annual Parish Study Day.

Brother Robert L. Moriarty, SM, will be the featured speaker at a parish study day scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 3, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., at Christ the King Seminary, 711 Knox Rd., East Aurora. The theme for the fall program will be "Small Christians Communities: A Vision for the Parish of the 21st Century." Promoting small church communities can have a major contribution to the vision for the parish.

The day will begin with registration at 9 a.m., followed by a gathering prayer and a welcome from Bishop Edward U. Kmiec, bishop of Buffalo. Brother Robert will lead two morning sessions and one session after lunch.

A graduate of the University of Dayton in Ohio, and Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wis., Brother Robert is a member of the Marianist Province of the United States. He is the director of the Pastoral Department for Small Christian Communities of the Archdiocese of Hartford, Conn.
