Trocaire College partners with Catholic Health

Teenager sets a high mark for altar servers

Most altar servers begin serving in fifth or sixth-grade and then continue for a few years before other obligations take precedence in the high school years. For 16 year-old Dominic Cavaretta, altar serving has been such a priority that he serves at not one, but two places of worship.

An editorial writer in Kalamazoo goes to Mass on Sunday, receives Communion, then goes to work on Monday morning and writes an editorial applauding gay marriage. On another Monday or Tuesday some time back, a Catholic in Kalamazoo wrote an editorial supporting late-term abortion.  What’s going on here? Religious hypocrisy? Something far worse. Something that can befall any of us.

Vatican investigates claims of Medjugorje apparitions

After 30 years, a decision on the alleged Medjugorje apparitions seems to be coming soon. A Vatican commission is investigating the Marian visions that six Croatians claim to receive. The investigation is expected to close by the end of the year, with a report being given to Pope Benedict XVI. read more...

Gatto, pastor of St. Gregory the Great Parish, Williamsville, one of its 2012 distinguished pastors. The award was presented to Father Gatto at the association’s annual convention in Boston on April 11.
