New Roman Missal begins with Advent

The Roman Missal Third Edition, the new ritual text containing prayers and instructions for the celebration of the Mass, will be used across the United States beginning Nov. 27, the first Sunday of Advent. The U.S. will be the first country to use the new texts. To prepare parishioners, the Buffalo Diocese has held learning sessions throughout the summer to teach and explain the changes. read more...
Parish experience confirms transitional deacon's call

Seán Paul Fleming knows he is on the right path on the road to the priesthood. He wakes up happy everyday. Rev. Mr. Fleming was ordained a transitional deacon on Nov. 4 at Christ the King Seminary in East Aurora. He will be ordained to the priesthood next June.

After seven years in formation, Jeffrey Nowak is ready for the priesthood. His lifelong work within the Church, took another deeper step when he and two others were ordained transitional deacons on Nov. 4.
Born and raised in Lackawanna, the 31-year-old looks to his hometown hero Venerable Nelson Baker for inspiration.

Daybreak produces Christmas Mass for national broadcast

Over the years, Daybreak TV Productions has worked on many shows and documentaries, but perhaps one of its biggest projects in history will occur this month, as they will record a Mass set to air on Christmas Eve for the Interfaith Broadcasting Commission, a multi-denominational organization that provides national networks and affiliates with programs.
